Long Term Doodles: Sei and the Sea Angels

Several months ago, I posted a character palette meme on Tumblr. Some I started, some I only saved the request for. And now, at the end of the year and I'm making strides to be more efficient with balancing all the things I need and want to do, I'm finally starting to needle around with them.

I lost / saved over quite a few of the WIPs for this one, but since I need to get into the habit of posting on here more, I figured it would not hurt to put what I have. Putting just 20 mins - an hour on this every few days or so I gotta say - its nice to not have to worry about whether the ellipses or lighting is right. Its more to have fun and clock some photoshop time, after all.

For those unfamiliar with the character, this particular one is for Sei, from Dramatical Murder.

If there is one thing I have learned in my life, it is the power and beauty of stories. Through sight and sound, a good story can evoke unease or laughter in a person, or even move them to tears. Their grandeur and depth can pull a person in, immersing them completely in the world that they weave. From childhood to modern day, I have spent countless hours enveloped in a multitude of those worlds. There have been characters that I love, whom I’ve rooted for and cared about, or have even been sources of inspiration for morality and to keep moving forward in my life. Their journeys and lore become just as real as the world that I live in, and I would not be the person I am today without them. My greatest dream is to be able to deliver that same sort of experience and wonder to others.

So I kinda needed a blog to dump my daily art in, and I remembered this blog. I don't really care for it, so it seemed like a more appropriate place to put 1000 bad drawings than one of my tumblr blogs.
